2016 IMTS Profile Company
South Coast Mold is one of eight American manufacturers profiled in print and video for promotion of IMTS, the International Manufacturing Technology Show. IMTS is America's largest showcase of manufacturing technology and equipment, held bi-annually in Chicago. Historically, IMTS has drawn over 100,000 attendees from around the world.
SBA 2015 Regional Family-Owned Business Award
In 2015, South Coast Mold won this annual SBA award is given to a 2nd generation (or more) family-owned business in Orange, Riverside, and San Bernardino counties, CA. This award recognizes the dedicated work of company founder Peter Novak, his beginnings in 1973, and that his work and legacy continues today. Moreover, this award highlighted our company survival through the 2008-2009 recession to eventually post record revenues in 2014 and 2015. Lastly, this award acknowledges that South Coast Mold is a US manufacturer with 100 percent domestic production.

Following up on the company’s Energy Star award, the industry also recognized South Coast Mold’s contribution to “green” manufacturing methods. In many ways, this acknowledgment is more important as it comes from industry peers. Along with energy savings, the article highlights South Coast Mold’s operations, workforce, and future expectations.
Energy Star 2009 Small Business Award Winner
In 2009, South Coast Mold was recognized as an Energy-Star Small Business award winner. Since most small business energy award winners are from service industries, it is difficult for a manufacturer to win. The result was from an energy management program from 2007-2009 in which the South Coast Mold reduced energy usage by 20 percent. Another part of this program was recycling and landscape water reduction usage. South Coast Mold is well-cognizant of the scarcity of national resources as well as the need for pollution reduction. This “green” movement is not just a fad; rather, its standard operation procedure by South Coast Mold.
